ABOUT US!

The Kids In Showbiz / RISE Media Business and Technical Training School was created for the purpose of providing a world class education as a non-profit career training school. Our primary focus is to inspire hope, build character and empower today’s youth and young adults to make a positive change within themselves while also gaining control of their future by providing them with an extensive “hands on” approach in the instruction of Television and Film Production, TV and Film Post Production, Recording Studio Audio Engineering, A/V IT (AVoIP) Technology, Office and Business Administration and Live Event Audio Engineering skills.

Audio, Video and Computer Technology drives 80% of today's media including television, video on demand, streaming television, the internet and all social media platforms. Our goal is to instill strong employment skills, create a professional work ethic, develop friendships and inspire our students to leave our program having total confidence of themselves being able to obtain a successful career in the Audio, Video or Office Administration field anywhere in the world.

The goal of our program is to identify youth who are going to have a turbulent transition to adulthood and offer a positive support system in order to avoid the pitfalls that can derail their lives. Our focus is slightly different at each level. At the elementary school level, our mentors strive to guide children and preteens and reinforce basic learning skills by integrating on camera acting, song and dance with class activities and lessons in math, reading, history, etiquette and science. With middle school students, RISE provides mentors that serve as developmental role models for young people looking for direction. Sometimes it is as easy as a young person identifying with his mentor rather than a person involved in criminal or destructive activities.

Once a student has entered high school with a history of classroom disturbances and/or poor academic skills, it takes a tremendous proactive effort to assist a student in redirecting their lives. In order to destroy the negative factors that can turn a student off to school, RISE has found that group activities (learning a career field that they enjoy) along with learning business etiquette, educational skills, self-confidence and hope provides focus for our students in a positive direction so that they can achieve a bright future and a successful career.
